MUMBAI: Karan Johar's Dharma productions on Friday announced that they will be recasting "Dostana 2", starring Kartik Aaryan, due to "professional circumstances". Without taking any names, the production house issued a statement about replacement in the film.

Karan Johar's Dharma productions on Friday announced that they will be recasting "Dostana 2", starring Kartik Aaryan, due to "professional circumstances". Without taking any names, the production house issued a statement about replacement in the film.

Reports about Aaryan being replaced were doing the rounds on social media since morning. "Dostana 2" also features Janhvi Kapoor. The announcement of Dostana 2 had been made some 2-3 years back. However, the film was getting delayed due to unavoidable reasons. It was all set to go on floors in some months. However, the Maharastra government's order to halt shoots stalled it for some more time. It has also been rumoured that the reason behind this decision was Kartik's unprofessional behaviour and his creative differences.
