The Delhi High Court has issued notice to the Government of NCT Delhi and Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking direction from concerned authorities to take immediate remedial steps to eliminate contagious viral disease known as 'Lump Skin Disease'.

In order to protect them from the said illness, one should keep them in their enclosures and thus livestock owners should help the government in preventing the spread of the virus.

As per the details, the first case was detected in a stray cattle in Nipaniya village. Upon getting information, a team was dispatched from Pipalrawan for a vaccination drive.

Meanwhile, the administrative officials said they had completed the survey in the affected areas and found about 82 head of cattle suffering from lumpy skin disease.
