i mean, in general, as i understand it, there s less stimulative effect general from tax cuts as opposed to well-targeted stimulus spending. but just to be clear, you re arguing that among tax cuts, which are less stimulative, the worst ones are for rich people. better ones are for people who are making less money? well, yeah, and we can talk about the evidence of what kind of tax cuts are most stimulative, but everybody agrees, they ve ranked every ç possible form of stimulus by the congressional budget office, and the high-income tax cuts rank dead last of all of them. i think the question i would ask for the people saying that we need to massively cut taxes for people, billionaires or millionaires, is if that was some magic elixir, what happened? i mean, we did that. we cut those taxes more than they ve ever been cut, from 2001 to 2008. and that really didn t work. i mean, look out the window. ....

Guy took o office. i guess what i m saying that is with the stimulus, that s what you got. what the heck is the problem with stopping the stimulus? just seeing how things go? the stimulus doesn t seem to be any great magic elixir. it s a mistake and assumption to make the argument was the stimulus was the cure-all. the stimulus was designed to help turn around the economy. when you go from negative 6% in gdp to positive 6% gdp growth, that didn t happen by accident. neil: you wouldn t expect to go from unemployment rate at 10%. we still have more jobless and higher unemployment than then, right? the challenge now in the coming six to nine months is basically try to figure out give economy its own momentum. without the stimulus, the economy and country would be in a far worse economic position. neil: we can respectfully ....
