An Ikeja High Court has sentenced the desposed Baale of Shangisha in Magodo area of Lagos State, Mutiu Ogundare, to 15-year jail term for faking his kidnap. Justice Hakeem Oshodi sentenced Ogundare having convicted him of a two-count bordering on breach of peace and fake kidnapping. The court however set his wife Abolanle, free having earlier absolved her of the charges. The sentence was handed down by Hakeem Oshodi, the judge, on Tuesday. Olarewaju Ajanaku, the defence counsel, in his allocutus on June 15, asked the court to temper justice with mercy.
