Sergei Bartosh said that some time ago Belarusian specialists had already begun to study the soils in Equatorial Guinea both on the islands and on the mainland of the country. This is necessary to determine the composition of soils and, based on this data, select the optimal set of crops for cultivation and the required mineral fertilizers.
Africa's time has come, but the countries that have gained political independence have yet to free themselves from economic dependence, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at an official reception held in his honor on behalf of Equatorial Guinea President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
To sum up results of the negotiations, Aleksandr Lukashenko mentioned several ideas he and Equatorial Guinea's leadership had discussed. “The country should not spend foreign currency on buying the products and goods Equatorial Guinea can make. It is an axiom,” the Belarusian leader said.
According to Belarusian Healthcare Minister Dmitry Pinevich, the full deployment of strategic cooperation with Equatorial Guinea may take some three to five years. Belarus aims to solve all the tasks comprehensively and quickly.
