Cybersecurity experts warned Android users about the banking Trojan malware on their devices. Here is the list of the apps that you should avoid installing on the Google Play Store.
Google has once again banned hundreds of apps from Play store. The latest report suggests that the tech giant has deleted 150 malicious apps from play store. These apps were reportedly part of a campaign called UltimaSMS, which basically scammers lured Android users to sign in for premium SMS services.
Researchers at Zimperium zLabs have discovered that a trojan named Grifthorse Android Trojan is present in about 136 apps which have stolen money from about 10 Million users. Google has banned these apps from Playstore after the reports came out.
Google took action and banned all 136 apps.
The company claims to have used machine learning to identify these apps with options like impersonation, inappropriate content, and malware to pick out over 7,00,000 apps and 100,000 developers, which is 70 per cent more than in 2016.
