DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. – A missing 12-year-old girl who failed to show up for school Tuesday morning was found safe. The Parker girl was found in Arapahoe County on Arapahoe Road near South Parker Road.
Douglas County Sheriff Tony Spurlock said the girl was not abducted but left the area on her own.
Authorities became concerned after the girl failed to show up for school at Mammoth Heights Elementary Tuesday. She left her Parker home near Stonegate Parkway and Haseley Drive at 8:15 a.m. on her bike. She was reported missing around 10 a.m.

The girl never arrived at Mammoth Heights Elementary after leaving her home Tuesday morning, Douglas County Sheriff's Office said. She was found Tuesday night.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is currently searching for a missing 12-year-old in the Parker area.

PARKER, Colo. — A 12-year-old girl who never arrived at school Tuesday morning was found safe Tuesday night just after 7 p.m. 
Douglas County Sheriff Tony Spurlock said she was not kidnapped or abducted and called finding her a "huge relief." 
No other details about where or how she was found have been released. Spurlock said deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff's Officer (DCSO) were bringing her home Tuesday night.
