A winter's chilly morning at Milford's Kensington Metropark.
Arriving before sunrise Feb. 11 at Kensington Metropark the first thing I noticed was how still it is. Nothing seemed to be moving and with temperatures below 10 degrees and only a slight breeze the entirety of the park, four-legged creatures, birds, trees, and lakes seem frozen in an understandably rigged pose. The 4,400-acre park lies off Interstate 96 between Milford Road and Kensington Road. Its main feature is Kent Lake, part of an impoundment of the Huron River system, which meanders through the park's center and occupies much of its total area.
