W-League finals race down to the wire

Leaders Sydney FC have already qualified for the top four while Brisbane Roar's massive goal difference has effectively secured their spot.
Adelaide United (19 points, one game remaining), Canberra (18 points, two games left) and Melbourne Victory (17 points, three games left) are chasing the two remaining spots.
Off the back of upsetting the Roar the previous round - a game where Heyman drew level with Sam Kerr on 70 competition goals - Canberra hosted Perth, who were technically the home team.
Heyman put Nikki Flannery through for the opener in the 36th minute, before Caitlin Doeglas responded five minutes later.

The Roar claimed an impressive 4-1 win at Leichhardt Oval on Sunday to move within two points of the table-topping Sky Blues with their fourth victory in a row.
The defeat ends Sydney's 100 per cent record and came after having conceded just one goal in their previous seven matches.
Second-placed Brisbane are now the only unbeaten team in the league having started their season with four consecutive draws.
The Roar took an early lead in eighth minute when Matildas winger Emily Gielnik found space down the left and played a pinpoint cross to Yallop, who nodded home at the back post.

Brisbane Roar strike major blow to City's finals hopes

Mariel Hecher was the hero for the Roar, who dropped from a 2-0 lead to 2-2 before the Brazilian let rip with a stunning strike off the post to reclaim the advantage in the 75th minute.
As a result, City slipped to seventh in the league with just four points from six games and a goal difference of -8.
"We're gonna try (to make finals). We're gonna try everything, we're gonna try to win every game like we did so far," City coach Rado Vidosic said.
"But it's getting harder and harder with each game."
Brisbane took the lead in the 23rd minute when Clare Polkinghorne rose highest to head home Jamilla Rankin's corner and doubled their advantage via Emily Gielnik from the spot eight minutes later after City's Samantha Johnson was penalised for a handball.
