Just a little over one month after making his transition to Mobile Legends: Bang Bang to seek redemption, ex-Dota prodigy Mark Anthony “Jacko” Soriano’s career in the mobile MOBA is now in danger.
Amihan Esports decided to temporarily remove Jacko from its ML roster, putting him under probationary status due to his “slow progress”, “unacceptable attitude” and “violation of our management’s contract”, the team said on Saturday night, March 13.
In the comment section of its Facebook post, Amihan clarified that Jacko’s violation was actually “driving without license”.
Amihan later edited its comment and said that Jacko’s violation was actually “driving Johnson without license”, adding that the player “doesn’t even know how to start an engine of a car” and “is a pretty bad driver of the Johnson hero.” Still, the punishment on Jacko remained.

Jacko draws inspiration from TI winner N0tail for esports switch, tells pal Flysolo to 'prove ourselves' in ML

Manila Bulletin in a Facebook message.
“If you feel you are already stuck, stop going in one direction and turn (to) another path. Your past may be a part of who you are, but it certainly doesn’t have to define your future,” he added.
Jacko was only 16 years old when he was dragged into the infamous match-fixing controversy but Valve still handed down the harsh ban two years later, rendering him ineligible to join Dota 2 Major tournaments and ultimately The International which stake the highest prize pools in esports across the world.
That prompted the Amihan Esports standout to jump ship to the booming ML pro scene. He has gone on a daily grind since his move to ML and has reached Mythical Glory in just 10 days.

Dota veteran Flysolo takes talent to Mobile Legends

Another great Filipino Dota player has moved to the booming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang professional scene.
Ten-year Dota veteran and former Clutch Gamers captain Kenneth “Flysolo” Coloma decided to hop into the esports landscape of Moonton’s mobile MOBA game.
“It’s a tough decision I’ve made yesterday and I’m 100 percent sure that I will switch to Mobile Legends: Bang Bang,” Flyosolo said on his Facebook post on Friday, February 12.
“I will try my luck and apply my drafting skills on this game… Bye Dota 2 world. It was a pleasure to meet you all!” added the 29-year-old pro, who is now looking to sell his Dota 2 account which is currently ranked at No. 94 in the SEA leaderboard with around 8.9k MMR.

Mark Anthony “Jacko” Soriano, once tabbed as a Dota 2 prodigy but got involved in a messy match-fixing controversy, has decided to take his act to Mobile Legends: Bang Bang where he will aim to redeem himself.
Jacko was a promising young Dota 2 player seven years ago until his involvement in the notorious match-fixing issue tagged as the “PH 322 scandal of 2014” destroyed his potential career in the PC video game.
He was a member of the Mineski-Dota squad that intentionally threw a match for money and was eventually slapped with an indefinite ban by Valve along with the other players involved.
