WHIZ News Demolition Begins on Old Philo Bridge ZANESVILLE, OH – Today demolition began on the old Philo Bridge. Half of the bridge was brought down by explosives earlier this morning. Muskingum County Engineer Mark Eicher says the demolition crew started by cutting out cross sections of beams used to hold up the bridge. Then explosives were used to take out the remaining beams that kept the bridge in place.
