Boulder City Council on Thursday evening expressed broad support for an ambitious redevelopment plan at 4401 Broadway that has been several years in the making.

The Boulder City Council at a Thursday special meeting approved an emergency ordinance to place a partial moratorium on the work of the city’s Police Oversight Panel.

Boulder has long had a shortage of affordable housing, but City Council is exploring ways to remedy the issue through changes to zoning laws.

The Boulder City Council has said it favors increasing existing occupancy measures to address the city's affordable housing shortage, and city staff will soon be creating an ordinance to put those increased limits into effect.
