Fuel Subsidy: Edo Government Reduces Workdays To Three A Week For Civil Servants, Increases Salary

Godwin Obaseki, Edo State Governor, has reduced the number of work days that civil and public servants are required to be at workplaces from five days a week to three days a week, among other measures. This comes as a result of the hikes in prices of goods and services and overall cost of living occasioned by the fuel subsidy removal by the Nigerian Government.

The Ambrose Alli University (AAU) Special Intervention Team has unravelled N2 billion tax fraud and other corrupt practices by the management and staff of the school. The team was set up by the Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki. The team headed by the Managing Director of Schlumberger Nigeria Ltd, Mr. Andrew Olotu, while presenting its interim report to the Governor at the Government House in Benin City, alleged massive certificate and transcript racketeering and other nefarious acts in the institution.
