The crash happened at County Highway HH near Meyer Road shortly before 1:30 p.m. Friday. According to the Calumet County Sheriff’s Office, the 16-year-old was traveling eastbound on HH when the horse abruptly went into the roadway, and was then hit by the vehicle traveling westbound.
