Cover trashcans in public places
My husband and I took a walk in Lawson Creek Park today and the recent heavy rains and high water left quite a mess—pounds of debris in the brush and cubbyholes in and around the park. Every time we go there, we end up picking up garbage more than enjoying our hike. And, each time we look at the open trashcans with disbelief. My first suggestion: Cover trashcans in all public places. Raccoons and other critters pull out food containers nightly while looking for snacks.
