Apple has reopened all of its retail stores in Michigan

Apple has reopened its stores in the state of Michigan.
The stores were temporarily closed due to a surge in COVID-19 cases.
All of the Apple Stores in Michigan in the United States are open once again.
Spotted by 9to5Mac's Michael Steeber yesterday, Apple had updated its store pages to inform customers that the stores would be reopening today. As pointed out by Steeber, it appears that all of them are currently operating as Express Storefronts, meaning that customers can make a quick purchase or pickup at the front of the store but will not be able to enter.

Apple Store Looted and Trashed by Portland Antifa and BLM Rioters Re-Opens Behind a 'Prison' Fence

The Apple Store in downtown Portland re-opened this week after falling victim to “peaceful” protesters last spring. The see-through glass box sitting on a downtown street corner was shattered and looters “protesting” George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis swept the shelves of untold thousands of dollars in Apple merchandise and trashed the place. The Louis Vuitton store across the street was next wiped clean by looters – for “justice,” you understand.
The looting and destruction were just the beginning of 120 days of violent nighttime violence in the City of Roses.

This Week in Apps: Twitter targets creators, Clubhouse security, Spotify’s plans for paid podcasts
Welcome back to This Week in Apps, the weekly TechCrunch series that recaps the latest in mobile OS news, mobile applications and the overall app economy.
The app industry is as hot as ever, with a record 218 billion downloads and $143 billion in global consumer spend in 2020. A
new forecast this week expects consumer spend to grow to $270 billion by 2025.
Consumers last year also spent 3.5 trillion minutes using apps on Android devices alone. And in the U.S., app usage surged ahead of the time spent watching live TV. Currently, the average American watches 3.7 hours of live TV per day, but now spends four hours per day on their mobile devices.

With lockdown now in place across the country, sales shoppers have been moving online to snap up a January bargain.
We take a look at some of the shops offering a click and collect service – and returns, for those unsuitable Christmas gifts.
Anyone using the services, or doing essential shopping, is urged to follow the government guidelines such as following the one-way system, maintaining a two-metre distance, wearing a face covering and going alone where possible.

Apple Stores are closing once again due to Covid-19 cases rise
It seems that Cupertino has decided to close several of its Apple Stores as recent Covid-19 infection cases are on the rise in the US
2 minute read
Since early last year, the Covid-19 pandemic has been affecting the tech world when it caused several major events to be canceled or postponed. It has also made us enter a new way of life, where we’ve had to make some changes to coexist with the virus. Some of those changes include all-digital product launches, more people working from home, and we have also seen several stores shut their doors to keep their employees and customers safe. That’s precisely what Apple is doing with its Apple Stores, once again.
