Kalamazoo, MI, USA / WKZO | Everything Kalamazoo | 590 AM · 106.9 FM Jan 8, 2021 7:48 AM LANSING, MI (WJXQ) – Michigan State Police have a 48-year-old Charlotte man in the Lansing City Jail for allegedly calling in a bomb threat to the state Capitol Thursday morning. Michael Varrone was arrested outside his house in Charlotte yesterday afternoon. Varrone is expected to be arraigned today. The all-clear had been given that there was no bomb by 9:00 a.m. Thursday. Workers were then able to return to their offices. The Capitol is closed to the public at this time due to COVID-19 restrictions.

1657 WATERBURY — Mr. Daniel R. Varrone, age 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his home on Saturday, Dec. 26, 2020. He was the loving husband of Ann M. (Mathieu) Varrone. Mr. Varrone was born on Jan. 21, 1943, in Waterbury, son of the late Donato and Concetta (Fusco) Varrone. He was a graduate of Croft High School and a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Loreto Church.
