Michigan State Basketball: Aaron Henry declares for NBA Draft

In an expected move, Michigan State guard/forward Aaron Henry has announced his intention to declare for the 2021 NBA Draft. This is the second consecutive season Henry will test the NBA waters, after he decided to enter his name in the 2020 NBA Draft, but withdrew it last August after getting feedback from league personnel, and ultimately returned to East Lansing for his junior season.
This time, though, it is almost certain that Henry will remain in this year’s draft, and he plans to hire an agent soon — although, hiring an agent no longer means a player automatically cannot return to college, as long as said agent is NCAA-certified.

Will Tyson Walker Solve Michigan State's Point Guard Issues?
Michigan State wasted little time in finding its point guard of the future.
Author:
Tyson Walker committed to Michigan State on Saturday.
The Spartans wasted little time in its search for a true point guard, and if you watched any MSU basketball this season, it's easy to understand why.
Michigan State posted one of its worst offensive outputs in the Tom Izzo era, and not having someone like Cassius Winston, who can see the floor, get teammates involved, and still create for himself, hurt the Spartans.
Does Walker solve MSU's problems? Maybe.

The Michigan State Spartans under head coach Tom Izzo have been synonymous with surprise upsets and deep runs in the big dance since Izzo’s first team that got a bid in 1997. Since then, the team has made it every tournament since, and while there have been a few close calls, this team was as close to missing out on a bid as you can get.
A stunning series of wins over top-5 opponents in Illinois, Ohio State, and Michigan down the stretch lifted the program not just off life support, but from the literal dead in terms of chances to make the NCAA. With all of that said, this year’s Michigan State squad is still merely a No. 11 seed facing UCLA in a play-in round.

For most of the game, it looked like Michigan State would prove many people wrong Thursday night. Even in one of the Spartans' worst seasons, they were showcasing why so many boast about Big Ten basketball.
I thought maybe MSU shouldn't have been slotted in the First Four; maybe they deserved slightly more respect. Maybe they were better than Syracuse or Utah State; two teams ranked ahead of them in the field of 68.
But I digress because the First Four is exactly where Michigan State belonged. It turns out the Spartans weren't ready for the bright lights and came up well short in the closing minutes against UCLA.
