Indian PM Modi to launch projects worth 10 trillion rupees in Uttar Pradesh state
India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch more than 14,000 projects in the northern Uttar Pradesh state worth ₹10 trillion ahead of the country's General Election later in the summer. The state of Uttar Pradesh sends 80 of the 543 Lok Sabha parliamentarians to New Delhi and the Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party has managed to win 71 and 62 seats in the state in the 2014 and 2019 general elections, respectively.
