Layoffs have not slowed the growth of the IT job market Janco reports. Focus of layoffs is on non-technical positions and the elimination of administrative overhead

Janco reports that September saw a noticeable slowing in the hiring of IT Pros. Only 3,500 new IT jobs were added to the IT job market in September along with a reduction of 17,800 of the jobs created (per BLS data) in the prior two months.

An average of over 20K new IT Jobs have been created for the last 12 months. We estimate that an average growth will slow each month thru the end of the 4th quarter.
