A civic organisation, Urban Alert has expressed concern over the continuous contamination of the Osun River, adding that the state governor, Ademola Adeleke, has not done enough to end the environmental degradation and contamination of the Osun River. The group noted that part of the contamination of the river was caused by illicit mining in the state, adding that the governor failed to end this menace as he promised during his campaign time.
