企業軟體服務獨角獸Celonis首創「流程挖掘」技術，幫助各大企業簡化內部流程，不僅獲得投資人青睞，其估值也飆至110億美元。
隨著時代的進步，科技日新月異，越來越多企業意識到藉助科技技術，可以幫助企業實現自己很難達到的──
企業自我檢討，是提升企業經營不可或缺的元素 。因此，來自德國的企業軟體服務獨角獸Celonis吸引來自世界各國的投資機構爭相投資，包含Arena Holdings、83North、Accel等機構都參與其中。此外，Celonis的客戶數更是以每年三位數的速度成長，截至目前（2021）為止，美國石油巨擘艾克森美孚（Exxon-Mobile）、BMW、通用汽車、綜合機電大廠西門子（Siemens）、通訊巨擘沃達豐（Vodafone）、化妝品大廠萊雅（L’Oreal）等來自世界各國的大型企業皆是Celonis的客戶，年營收超過7,000萬美元（約19.5億元台幣）。
2018年，Celonis獲得5,000萬美元（約13.9億元台幣）資金後，公司估值就超過10億美元（約278.9億元台幣），躍升成為新創「獨角獸」公司；2019年，Celonis再獲得2.9億美元（約80.9億元台幣）的融資，公司估值達25億美元（約697億元台幣）；
今（2021）年6月，在最新一輪融資Celonis籌得10億美元（約278.9億元台幣）後，公司估值大幅飆升至110億美元（約3,068億元台幣） 。
首創「流程挖掘」技術，協助企業簡化內部流程
Celonis是由亞歷山大．林克（Alexander Rinke）和他的兩位大學好朋友共同創立於2011年，總部位於慕尼黑。其實，三人最初是在慕尼黑大學一起進行研究計畫，其主題為「如何幫助企業現實改善客戶服務」，但在進行企業訪談時，他們發現企業很難檢討自己，例如一家企業要花5天才能提出簡單的解決方案；而與員工進行訪談時，發現沒有人願意說實話，因為大家都不想負責任。為了解決這個問題，三人想到可以直接將企業中「人」的因素去除，以了解企業流程。
畢業後，他們決定把該專案擴展成真正的新創事業，並創立了Celonis。使用資料探勘、資料分析等軟體技術，判斷企業當前的表現及需要改善的方向，進而協助企業提升經營效率。其中，Celonis最著名的就是首創的商業「流程挖掘」（Process Mining）技術，透過對公司事件和log中的資料進行分析，協助企業輕易地從各部門系統中擷取資訊，並提供關鍵流程執行方式的詳細資訊，實現簡化公司的內部流程。
為各大企業提升效率！將日本企業界視為下一個目標
流程挖掘可以幫助企業解決兩項常見的問題。
第一，協助企業說明某個商業流程目前是如何執行的 。一般在改造商業流程時，企業都只關注改善後的「期望」流程，沒有興趣探究「現狀」，但了解企業內部的當前流程，才能知道是否值得投資於改善流程、績效等問題，以及整個組織在流程上有多少種不同的做法。
第二，企業中的商業流程與其資訊系統間通常缺乏連結 。儘管有些企業系統是流程導向，如SAP，可能有「訂單到現金」（order-to-cash）、「採購到付款」（procure-to-pay）之類的流程，然而，卻沒有一種簡單的方法可以解釋流程與資訊系統之間的關係。
以科慕公司（Chemours）為例，科慕是杜邦公司（DuPont）於2015年分拆旗下高性能化學品事業部而成立，承襲杜邦的商業流程和一個過時的傳統企業資源規劃（ERP）系統。借助Celonis，科慕希望改善的第一個目標是「訂單到現金」流程（O2C）。然而，當時沒有人能真正說明科慕的O2C流程是如何執行的，因為人們通常只看到自己在流程中的那一個部分，而不關心整個流程。
Celonis花了四個月進行流程挖掘，將公司各系統所記錄的事件及log進行逐筆分析，
在過程中把「人」的因素去掉 ，用完全理性的電腦資料分析及演算法方式評估企業流程，最後才挖掘出科慕公司流程的實際執行情況，讓所有人了解整個流程，並揭露一些明顯的問題。例如信用保留（credit hold），企業會把策略性客戶置於信用保留狀態，以便O2C流程中的手動步驟得以進行，但這其實是一項不必要且多餘的流程。
自成立以來，Celonis已利用流程挖掘技術幫助許多來自世界各國的大型企業，完成公司內部流程簡化，例如綜合機電大廠西門子（Siemens）、Uber、3M公司、跨國醫療及工業儀器製造商丹納赫（Danaher）、漢莎航空（Lufthansa）等全球領先的企業都依靠Celonis提高其財務、供應鏈、資訊科技、銷售和客戶服務職能的各項效率。
目前，Celonis正積極開發及精進一個適合處理全球500強公司巨量資料的流程挖掘方法。未來，Celonis將著重於提高市場戰略，改善公司技術，並進一步地擴大全球市場。Celonis的下一個目標，是希望能打進對於效率、改進極為重視的日本企業界。
