Excise department destroys liquor worth INR 52,00,140
Dimapur, Aug. 6 (EMN): A total of 40,484 bottles worth INR 52,00,140 at street value seized by the Dimapur Excise, Narcotic Cell and Mobile Squad was destroyed at Excise Directorate on August 6. The destroyed liquor was seized between April and July 2022. Speaking at the combined destruction programme, the commissioner of Excise and Prohibition, H Atokhe Aye, acknowledged the contribution of the three units despite the free flow of liquor resulting from the closure of the inter-state check gate, which posed a great challenge for the enforcement agency.
