The Mumbai Police on Saturday said that a Mumbai court on Friday convicted the 19-year-old man who was arrested by the Byculla Police for allegedly molesting a 38-year-old Peru national in March
The Mumbai police arrested the accused and filed a chargesheet within 24 hours. They also requested the court to record the statement of the woman and the witness on the same day.
The Kerala High Court allows the trial in the sexual harassment complaint against actor Unni Mukundan to continue. The High Court rejected the plea filed by the actor seeking to stay the trial in the case.
The complainant also alleged “inaction” on the part of the school headmaster and an assistant teacher, claiming that the two had been “aiding the accused”
The SP said, “The constable has been suspended with immediate effect.”
