AL candidate elects in Sarishabari poura polls 431 Monir Uddin was elected as mayoral of Sarishabari municipality polls with a huge margin of votes against his rival BNP candidate today. District Election Officer and Returning Officer Golam Mostafa announced the election result after counting the ballots. AL nominated candidate Md Monir Uddin with ‘boat’ symbol bagged 27,499 votes and unofficially elected as mayor. Shahin with ‘sheaf of paddy’ symbol got 3,471 votes.
