People have taken this very seriously because it is such a monster storm. south florida has had a history of dealing with monster storms. i'm thinking of the 24th of august of 1992. i covered hurricane andrew. it was a far different storm. it was a category 5 storm. it left deep scars in south florida. you know what, that was 25 years ago. a lot of people that are here have never been through a storm like this. as the cone shifts and as it seems as though it goes more western one day or more eastern, the fact of the matter is this is a storm that everybody here has taken very seriously hoping ...
