Aaron armstrong in the gb newsroom. The chancellor has welcomed the bank of englands decision to hold its base rate, saying its better not to rush into cutting Interest Rates. It has been left unchanged. Therefore, for a sixth time at 5. 25, the governor of the bank, Andrew Bailey, was optimistic. Hes hinted a cut may come as early as june, but says that is by no means a done deal. Jeremy hunt says things are improving.
