The Noida Police on Friday arrested three people for manufacture and sale of duplicate medicines who are linked with the pharmaceutical firm that manufacrtured cough syrup whose use is alleged to have led to death some children in Uzbekistan last year.
The arrests were made after an FIR was lodged against five officials, including two directors, of Noida-based Marion Biotech
The central and Uttar Pradesh state drug authorities had checked samples of Marion Biotech's drugs and found 22 of them to be 'not of standard quality'
The arrests come after an FIR was lodged late Thursday night against five officials of Marion Biotech.
Three employees of pharmaceutical firm Marion Biotech, whose cough syrup is alleged to have led to the death of 18 children in Uzbekistan last year, were arrested by Noida Police.
