Gqeberha police responded to a bomb scare at a Jewish synagogue in Parsons Hill on Wednesday morning.

Chennai's prominent IT corridor, OMR, experienced severe flooding due to heavy rainfall. The inadequate stormwater drainage system and low-lying location exacerbated the situation. Cyclone Michaung led to heavy downpours in several areas in Tamil Nadu on Monday and created havoc in Chennai, leaving five people dead and the airport closed. According to IMD,  it will land between Nellore and Machilipatnam of South Andhra in the form of a severe cyclonic storm today. 

A brawl erupted at the Mount Road police station at the weekend when a cleaner allegedly stabbed a court orderly in an argument over a woman.

"It is likely to move nearly northwards parallel and close to the south Andhra Pradesh coast and cross the south Andhra Pradesh coast between Nellore and Machilipatnam, close to Bapatla, during the forenoon of December 5 as a severe cyclonic storm with a maximum sustained wind speed of 90-100 kmph gusting to 110 kmph," the IMD stated further in its post.
