"I will gradually increase the amount of Ladli Bahna Yojana from Rs 1,000 to Rs 3,000 per month. Science faculty classes will be started in Gunaur's college. Along with this, the Girls' High School of Gunaur will be made a Higher Secondary School," Shivraj Singh Chouhan said.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is completely in the election fray for the upcoming state assembly polls, taking a jibe at the Congress partys delay in announcing its candidate list. Chouhan expressed confidence in the BJP winning both the state assembly and Lok Sabha elections in 2023 and 2024 respectively. The party has already released its first list of 39 candidates, with five women and 21 for reserved categories.
The financial aid given per month to women under the Madhya Pradesh government's 'Ladli Behna Yojana' launched in March this year will be increased from the current Rs 1000 to Rs 3000 with periodic hikes of Rs 250, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Thursday. While he did not reveal a deadline for these hikes, the CM announced he would give a "gift" to women on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan but did not elaborate.
