Parmanand Tolani, a resident of Indore, has filed his nomination as an independent candidate for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh assembly polls. Despite losing 18 elections in the past, Tolani continues to contest as it boosts his self-confidence. His family, known as the "Indori Dharti Pakad" family, has a tradition of contesting elections but has never won. Tolani promises to exempt property tax and municipal fees if elected. His daughter also expressed interest in continuing the family tradition of contesting elections.

Rustam Singh's son Rakesh Singh has been fielded by the Bahujan Samaj Party from Morena seat. Since then, there was speculation that Rustam Singh may leave the ruling BJP to campaign for his son in Morena. The High Court of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh has directed the Election Commission to allot a common symbol for the 'Ekam Sanatan Bharat Dal' in the upcoming elections in four states. The court issued notice to the EC and others, seeking their response within four weeks. The petitioner, 'IkkJutt Jammu', claims to be a registered political party and changed its name to 'Ekam Sanatan Bharat Dal' in accordance with rules. The EC did not respond to their request for a common symbol. The next hearing is scheduled for December 11.
