According to the meteorological department, the reason behind this weather change is a western disturbance which will remain active till May 20.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert warning of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds ranging from 40 to 50 Kilometre Per Hour (KMHP) very likely at isolated places of west MP.
The meteorological department has predicted heavy rains for the next two days i.e. Saturday and Sunday in the state capital Bhopal.
