Aerial support called in for Mt Cottrell fire
Date Time Aerial support called in for Mt Cottrell fire CFA has led a multi-agency effort including aerial support, strike teams, 40 tankers and support vehicles, to bring a grass fire at Mt Cottrell under control. CFA was first notified just after 5pm to reports of the grass fire near Troups Road which quickly escalated as the fire travelled south. An Emergency Warning was issued during the height of the fire for the communities of Mt Cottrell, Truganina, and Chartwell.
