Monday night, City Council will vote on whether to give the job to Nadin Contracting at a cost of $2.6-million from the 2021 budget. City staff are recommending Council go ahead with this step, adding if the work goes on-schedule it should be done by the end of October this year. Millions of dollars could be granted by Thunder Bay city council for infrastructure upgrades. Monday night city staff will recommend repaving of city streets, for just over $4.7-million, awarded to Taranis Contracting. There are a large number of residential streets, but also work on Algoma, Balmoral and other high traffic areas. Sewer and watermain work is expected to be done on Marion Street and Huron Avenue, granted to Nadin Contracting for over $2.9-million.
