Digital Artists Recreated The Changes The Oval Office Went Through Over The Last 100 Years

Franklin D. Roosevelt (1933-1945)
Despite Hoover’s renovations, Roosevelt soon relocated the Oval Office to the southeast corner of the West Wing, where there was better natural light. He also expanded it by two feet. However, he kept Hoover’s 17-piece suite, with which the Grand Rapids Furniture Manufacturers Association had refurnished the old Oval Office. It included a desk, “davenport, club chair, two large and one smaller wing chairs, two tables, swivel desk chair, two armchairs, two bookcases, a small table and three smoking stands of two sizes.”
Harry S. Truman (1945-1953)
Truman was the first to have a rug with the Seal of the President. It was a continuous blue-green color, with the crest implied by cutting the pile to different lengths. The rug would not be replaced until the day that JFK was assassinated. (This was a coincidence; Jacqueline Kennedy planned for the office to be redecorated while they were away in Texas.)

Wide Eye creates "dynamic and architectural" White House logo

Wide Eye creates "dynamic and architectural" White House logo
Creative agency Wide Eye has redesigned the White House logo to symbolise US president Joe Biden's "desire to bring the country together" after Donald Trump.
The updated design is a slightly more detailed and architectural version of the flat logo introduced during the Trump administration.
"Following the tradition and the legacy of past White House brands, we depicted the north facade, symbolising that the White House is the People's House and accessible," Wide Eye told Dezeen.
"This is symbolic of the president's desire to bring the country together: conveying a sense of openness, warmth, inclusion, and humanity."

How Presidents Have Made the Oval Office Their Own | The Saturday Evening Post

Whenever a new president enters the White House, big changes follow. From cabinet secretaries to ambassadors, personnel changes tend to dominate the headlines when administrations turn over. However, some of the most interesting and historically relevant changes that occur have little to do with policy and more to do with interior design. The decoration of the Oval Office can represent the personality of a president, their political role models, and the ambitions of their time in office — as well as their favorite color schemes.
The modern Oval Office was established in 1909 when President Taft invited submissions from architects to design the permanent office of the executive. A Washington architect named Nathan C. Wyeth won the competition and gave the office the distinctive oval shape it is known for today.
