Sullivan's Travels: Happy anniversary, Sassamon Trace

Sullivan's Travels: Happy anniversary, Sassamon Trace
Wicked Local
I recently came across a Facebook post from the town of Natick regarding Sassamon Trace golf course off Route 27, and was nearly taken aback when I saw the date it opened – 2001.
Has it been 20 years already?
This piece of Dowse Orchards, combined with a piece of the old Natick landfill (OK, OK – dump), has become a really nice 9-hole course enjoyed by hundreds of golfers over the years. In addition to leagues, the course is home to the Natick High and Dover-Sherborn High golf teams.

Here are some events coming up in February.
… The Natick Community Organic Farm will soon begin maple sugaring, and with that, maple sugaring tours from mid-February to early March. For information, including tour dates and (yes) coronavirus information, visit https://www.natickfarm.org/maple_sugaring/
Not into maple sugaring? The farm is open daily from 9 a.m. until dusk. Say hi to the animals, and purchase a variety of items (including meats, maple syrup, veggies and yarn) from the market stand. Social distancing and masks required.
Signup for spring programs will open on Jan. 31. Visit natickfarm.org for details.
