VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/Asia News Network): The National Taskforce for Covid-19 Prevention and Control on Monday (Oct 25) announced 615 new cases of the virus, of which 612 were locally transmitted and three were identified among people entering Laos.
Critics say the move is reminiscent of Nazi tactics of pillaging public libraries, universities, and bookshops for materials written by 'subversive' authors. 'It was not long before the regime that started burning books ended up burning people.'
