India's weightage in the MSCI Global Standard (Emerging Markets) index will reach a historic high of 18.2%. India's representation is expected to increase to around 18.5% after the February rejig, according to Abhilash Pagaria of Nuvama Alternative & Quantitative Research. The quarterly rebalancing could lead to significant inflows from passive FII funds.
India's MSCI Emerging Markets index surged from 8% in June 2020 to 17.9% currently. With ongoing domestic institutional flows and steady FII participation, India may exceed 20% in the MSCI EM Index by 2024.
IREDA and Motisons Jewellers are among the top performers in recent listings, with their stocks trading 490% and 240% higher than their respective IPO prices. Signature Global, Cyient DLM, Netweb Technologies, EMS, and Utkarsh Small Finance Bank are also standout performers.
The company added that it recently bagged an order from VSSC (ISRO) for their upcoming supercomputer, envisaged to be the largest for the Department of Space, valued at Rs 147.7 crore.
