Prefab 1945/46 Although this photo was not taken in Harringay. The prefab shown here on display at Duxford in 1993 is of the same type as those provided by Tottenham Borough Council and erected on the 3 bomb sites on Warwick Gardens, as well as Woodlands Park Road, Effingham and Fairfax Road. The prefabs on Ritches Road were of the Central door type. Although austere, the prefabs offered a standard not found in many pre-war houses in the area. They had fitted kitchens with gas powered 'refrigerators' 'running hot water' and a bathroom as well as inside toilet. Comment by Steph...
