The SBS Drama Awards 2020 took place on the eve of the New Year and some of the best actors and shows of the year were recognised. According to Soompi, the Daesang (Grand Prize) was awarded to Namgoong Min for his performance in Stove League. Meanwhile, Lee Min Ho bagged Top Excellence in Miniseries (Fantasy/Romance) and shared the title with Do You Like Brahms? star Park Eun Bin. The Penthouse stars Uhm Ki Joon, Kim So Yeon, Eugene and Lee Ji Ah took home the Top Excellence in Mid-Length/Long Drama award.

KBS ended the year by recognizing the network’s best talent and programming at the 2020 KBS Drama Awards!
Chun Ho Jin took home the Daesang (Grand Prize) for his performance in “Once Again.” He shared, “When we started ‘Once Again,’ I said to my juniors, ‘Let’s do our best to have a lot of fun with this drama. Let’s give even a bit of hope to people who are having a hard time.’ If I dare to think so, it seems like we achieved that goal. I’m very happy.”
He shared that he thought of himself as receiving the trophy on behalf of his co-stars and many others, with him being given it it because he was the “head of the household.” He shared, “Also, while we were filming, my father passed away. Cha Hwa Yun, who was my partner, gave me strength and guided me along. I want to give this award to Cha Hwa Yun.”

The 2020 SBS Drama Awards celebrated many of the year’s top performances and shows!
The ceremony took place on December 31 at the SBS Prism Tower in Seoul, and it was hosted by Shin Dong Yup and Kim Yoo Jung.
Namgoong Min took the Daesang (Grand Prize) for his performance in “Stove League.” He shared his thanks and mentioned that the first time he’d had a fixed role on a show rather than performed as an extra was on the network SBS. “After a lot of time has passed, I’ve received such a great award, so I’m so grateful and happy,” he said. He went on to share his thanks to his co-stars and the show’s staff, as well as writer Lee Shin Hwa.
