Following the success of the summer’s Downtown History Hunt, Main Street Gainesville is launching the Holiday Train Scavenger Hunt as a pandemic-safe holiday activity. The Holiday Train Scavenger Hunt is designed to allow people to explore downtown Gainesville while still following social distancing guidelines. To participate in the hunt, locate the 15 train decals hidden around the Gainesville Square and scan the QR code on each one to reveal a portion of a hidden message. After finding all 15 trains and deciphering the secret message, participants can enter for a chance to win one of several prizes throughout the end of the year, including Main Street Money, gift certificates good at more than 25 businesses throughout the Main Street District.
