IMD has predicted very dense fog conditions over Uttar Pradesh along with severe cold wave conditions. 

In view of the increasing cold wave in North India, the District Magistrate of Patna, Chandrashekhar Singh on Saturday issued a notice to close both government and private schools up to Class 10 in the state till January 14.

Bhandara, Chandrapur, Nagpur, Gondia and Wardha are likely to have rain and thundershowers on 21stSep. The rain belt will extend further to reach Amravati, Akola, Jalna, Aurangabad, Dhule, Jalgaon and Nandurbar, the next day on 22ndSep. Significant rains will vacate the entire region on 23rdSep and only cloudy sky with light drizzle is likely for the subsequent 48hr.

Low pressure area marked over Coastal Odisha, now lies over interior parts of the state and South Chhattisgarh. The convergence zone of the system extends right up to Marathwada and Madhya Maharashtra.

Under the influence of streaming westerlies, Mumbai is heading for incessant rains over the next 3 days, with a peak on 07thJuly. Rainfall in excess of 100mm is likely on daily basis. This hat trick of 3 figure downpour on successive days will take the monthly total to beyond 1000mm.
