The latest offering in the metro area's restaurant scene has begun its soft opening. "It's a long time coming," Executive Chef Ryan Nitschke says.

With permitting issues squared away, construction on the food truck-style restaurant to complement the craft brewery's taproom and entertainment venue is underway.

"Going to a barbershop shouldn’t be like the DMV," owner Branden Ashmore says. He's working on creating a small-town vibe, where customers can hang out, have a beer, and talk about hunting, fishing and motorcycles.

(Fargo Brewing’s other owner is co-founder Jared Hardy.) Next to Nice Barber is The Lounge, which will be available for meetings and other small gatherings. The Hall event space is “going to be such a big thing for us, and for the community,” Hill said. “This whole project was based around the ability to have concerts inside. We just booked our first wedding dance for June. A lot of opportunities for that space. I think it will be cool.” The building was built in 1941 as Fargo Tractor and Equipment, Hill said, and the renovation retains the industrial character of the building.
