Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' on Monday announced that the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) for undergraduate will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) only one time in 2021.
The examination will be conducted in 11 languages, including Hindi and English through Pen and Paper mode on August 1 this year.
Notification date, syllabus, and other important details are yet to be revealed by the NTA. "The Information Bulletin containing detailed information regarding the Test, syllabus, eligibility criteria for age, reservation, categorisation of seats, examination fee, cities of examination, State Code, etc. will be available shortly on the website https://ntaneet.nic.in, when the submission of the Application Form for NEET (UG) 2021 starts," reads the official notice.

NEET 2021 exam will be conducted only once this year. On March 15, 2021, the Education Minister said this in a written reply to Lok Sabha. Although official notification on this still has to come.

National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test, NEET 2021 examination will be held only once this year. Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal announced this today, on March 15, 2021.
In a written letter to Lok Sabha, the Union Education Minister said that NTA under the Ministry of Education conducts NEET for the medical sciences undergraduate programme. NEET examination is being held every year by the National Testing Agency in consultation with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

No changes have been proposed and NEET would be conducted once and in offline (pen and paper) mode like in previous years. As per media reports, NTA Director-General Vineet Joshi has confirmed that the examination would be conducted once, the way it has been taking place over the years. The official notification would be available to candidates soon. The Standard Operating Procedures, SOPs would be followed by the exam authorities to conduct the examination across the country.

NEET cut off for BDS admissions for the academic year 2020-21 has been reduced by 10 percentile points. As per the order, the cut off for BDS admissions has been revised to 40 for General and 30 for SC/ST/OBC.
