54 percent of those who fled to Germany in 2015 were employed in 2021. The employment of these migrants has increased by ten percentage points compared to the pandemic year 2020. However, according to the study, there is a significant gap between the sexes. While 67 percent of male refugees from 2015 are now employed, the rate for women is only 23 percent. The average gross monthly salary of full-time refugees has risen to 2021 euros by 2037. But refugees continue to earn less than the average of all employees in Germany.
