Long-term care insurance only covers part of the costs of a home. Co-payments do not only consist of a personal contribution for pure care and support. In addition, there are costs for accommodation, food and investments in the facilities. The most expensive was the care in the first year in the home in Baden-Württemberg with now on average 2913 euros per month, the lowest was the burden in Saxony-Anhalt with 1994 euros. The Bundestag has passed a care reform to counteract further additional burdens.
