Mike Pence Lags Well Behind Key GOP Contenders for a 2024 Presidential Run in CPAC Poll

Mike Pence Lags Well Behind Key GOP Contenders for a 2024 Presidential Run in CPAC Poll
On 3/1/21 at 10:07 AM EST
If the 2024 Republican primary for president were held today, former Vice President Mike Pence wouldn't be in the top tier of contenders.
The Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), an annual gathering for conservatives across the country, conducted two secret ballot straw polls over the weekend.
The surveys showed overwhelming support for former President Donald Trump, as 68 percent of people gathered hoped to see him run for the White House again in 2024. In a separate poll of all the potential 2024 GOP nominees for president, Trump was the choice of 55 percent of attendees.

Former Vice President Mike Pence is launching a video podcast. The platform will be one of many projects Pence will work on in the months to come through his latest partnership with Young America's Foundation (YAF), the organization announced on Friday.
Pence had been a supporter of YAF—a conservatism advocacy group that works with students—long before he entered the White House under President Donald Trump's administration. Now that his term is over, Pence will serve as the YAF's Ronald Reagan Presidential Scholar and will work with the organization's campus lecture program, speaking with students at colleges and universities across the country in addition to launching a video podcast in which he says he will "share the good news of conservatism."

Former Vice President Pence Opens Arlington Office

February 3, 2021 at 5:30pm
Former Vice President Mike Pence is setting up an office in Arlington as he transitions from his time in the White House.
“Pence announced Wednesday that the Office of the Former Vice President will handle correspondence, scheduling requests, public statements and official activities for him and his wife, Karen,” the Associated Press reported. “The office is located in Arlington, across the Potomac River from Washington.”
Pence previously lived in Arlington, most recently in the East Falls Church neighborhood, and his daughters attended Yorktown High School. Pence sold the home on 28th Street N. for $725,000 in 2012. Before that public records suggest that Pence, during his time in Congress, lived in homes along Military Road and in the Arlington Ridge neighborhood.
