OnePlus and Oppo are joining forces with Google to bring new AI features to their smartphones. This collaboration leverages Google's Gemini 1.0 Ultra AI model, promising functionalities like news summaries, AI toolboxes, and more.
"By collaborating with Google to integrate both Gemini and Google Cloud AI into smartphones, and by forming alliances with other industry pioneers for a variety of AI experiences, we are thrilled to ambitiously broaden the scope of mobile AI innovations," said Nicole Zhang, general manager of AI product for OPPO and OnePlus.
OnePlus Products Boycott: Retailers said in a letter that model-specific bundling requirements by OnePlus have forced them to carry non-moving products, adversely affecting the margins and leading to unsustainable losses for the businesses. Further, the letter read that retailers have been facing continued delays and complications in processing warranty and service claims from OnePlus.

The reason is said to be continued issues with OnePlus, according to a letter sent by the South Indian Organised Retailers Association (ORA) to OnePlus India's director of sales, Ranjeet Singh, as reported by Moneycontrol.
