The shooting of Nelson Dilipkumar's #Thalapathy65 had gone on floors recently at Georgia. Following the schedule's completion, Vijay flew back to Chennai. Pooja Hegde, who is paired opposite Vijay in the film, was in the news recently for testing positive for COVID-19. A news doing the rounds now on social media is that Vijay might team up with Telugu filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally. As per unconfirmed sources, Vamshi narrated a story to Vijay in Chennai and the latter was impresed with it. The director is said to be developing the script now.
Vamshi, who had directed the bilingual Thozha (Oopiri in Telugu), last made Maharshi, which had Mahesh Babu playing the lead role. Interestingly, the film, which had Pooja Hegde playing the female lead, had some shades of Vijay's earlier movies Sarkar and Kaththi. It is heard that producer Dil Raju, who will be bankrolling Shankar-Ram Charan film, is in talks for producing the project. Touted to be a bilingual film, fans are eagerly looking forward to know if the new is true or not. A few Telugu stars had signed up films under the direction of Tamil directors. It would be interesting to know if Vijay will be doing a movie with a Telugu filmmaker.
