India celebrates December 4 as Navy Day, every year, to acknowledge the role of the Indian Navy and commemorate its achievements in 'Operation Trident' during the 1971 Indo-Pak War.
Forty-eight Assam Naval Unit NCC, Guwahati organised a program on the eve of Navy Day at Brahmaputra Hall, Narangi Military Station, where NCC cadets of numerous colleges and schools took part, said a statement on Sunday.
