The Manitoba government is broadening its plan for a fuel tax holiday after receiving criticism from farm groups, snowmobilers and the Opposition Progressive Conservatives.
The announcement was made during a press conference this morning. In his opening statement, Opposition Leader Roy McTaggart said that the Shadow Ministers’ portfolios would not necessarily line up with those of the Cabinet of the Government. This means that one Shadow Minister may cover two or more ministry grouping or the opposite where several Shadow Ministers may cover just one ministry grouping.
